«Kuryk port» LLP

The seaport of Kuryk (Kazakhstan) is located on the eastern coast of the Caspian Sea, south of the Aktau port, in a natural bay, , that provides rather favorable weather conditions for loading and unloading.

The port is able to receive car and rail ferries all year round.

The resources of the Kuryk port include:

  • A proprietary universal berth for all types of vessels, including transshipment of oversized and heavy cargo;

  • Finger pier with two berths equipped with lifting bridges for servicing rail ferries;

  • Finger pier with a berth for receiving RO-RO type ferries carrying motor vehicles.

The existing ferry complex is focused on transshipment of grain, petroleum products, fertilizers, chemicals and other types of cargo.

Since January 17, 2018, The seaport of Kuryk has been an associate member of the International Association “Trans-Caspian International Transport Route” (Middle corridor), and, along with the port of Aktau, is a key link in this transport corridor.

The seaport of Kuryk provides Uzbekistan's cargo owners with wide access for cargo delivery to the neighboring states of the Caspian region, as well as through Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey to the ports of the Black and Baltic Sea and further to the EU countries.

On August 18 of this year, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between JSC “O’zbekistan temir yo’llari” and «Kuryk port» LLP, providing information and consulting support to the Parties in terms of work to increase cargo traffic using existing international multimodal transport routes.
