Tashkent Institute of Railway Engineering and the modern educational process

It is difficult to achieve progress without ensuring the quality of education in our country, increasing of its role and contribution to the ongoing reforms in the society. In this regard, a large-scale work on the creation of a higher education system that meets the international requirements is under way in our country.
At the Tashkent Institute of Railway Engineers a meeting was held with the participation of First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Transport Achilboy Jumaniyozovich Ramatov to analyze the implementation of the decisions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in this direction and to find solutions to the problems which the Institute experiences.

The meeting, which was held in an open format, focused on the development of the higher education system that can quickly adjust to the needs of the labor market in Uzbekistan, which is integrated into the global economy. First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Transport Achilboy Ramatov said that in recent years, a number of changes have taken place in the education system of our country. In particular, these changes highlighted the problems that need to be addressed in the higher education system. The wide-range reforms carried out in the JSC "O'zbekiston temir yo'llari" have created a number of problems that are being settled by the active participation of the institute in the social and economic modernization. In particular, the institute noted that insufficient participation and initiative of the JSC "O'zbekiston temir yo'llari" in comprehensive and systematic changes. Secondly, it is necessary to enhance the initiative of the institute's professors and teachers and young scholars to speed up the transition into a dialogue center for innovative and technological ideas, to systematically analyze, and solve the existing problems and shortcomings in relevant areas of society.
Achilbay Ramatov, the Chairman of the meeting, acting head of the JSC "O'zbekiston temir yo'llari" Khusniddin Khasilov remarked that the Tashkent Institute of Railway Engineers is gradually developing, improving the level of professionalism and qualification of professors and teachers, their retraining and upgrading in accordance with international standards and further expanding international cooperation in this direction.

The Minister of Transport confirmed proudly the role of the institute in the formation of the production motto named "We are of the same standard".
The representatives listened to the participants of the meeting about the organization of modern directions of education in collaboration with the responsible managers of the Society. Uzakbay Begimkulov, the Deputy Minister of Science and Education of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, participated in the meeting and was asked to provide practical assistance in creating curricula and programs, taking into account the recommendations of the JSC "O'zbekiston temir yo'llari".
Minister of Transport Achilbay Ramatov paid attention to the cardinal improvement of the training system of specialists who are able to speak freely in foreign languages. For this purpose, the continuity and comprehension of academic programs, English language training curricula, to control the duration of the program, training teachers, students and graduates to create the necessary conditions for proposals are being developed.
At the meeting, the head of Institute of Railway Engineers in order to ensure the execution of the assignments in such areas as training as mining, coal, geology and mineralogy, as well as the establishment of the Faculty of Mining, Geology under the Joint stock company, the society activities of the Center to study the possibilities of establishing a comprehensive department in the near future. The Institute has focused on optimization of existing directions and specialties in connection with the opening of the new directions and specialties.
The management of the Institute of the design, construction and maintenance of railroads also took part in the meeting and the department  recommendations were given in the process of learning. 
The meeting discussed issues related to the adoption of the limits of their responsibility, strict control and providing the necessary information on a regular basis.
